Identity card and college uniform:
A nontransferable identity card is issued to each
student at the time of admission for a period of one year.
The identity card containing relevant information of the
holder together with a recent passport size photograph must
be duly endorsed by the Principal. All students of the
college shall have to wear College Uniforms prescribed
by the college authority.

Attendance of students:
A student must attend at least 75%
of the lectures delivered in each subject to become eligible
for appearing in the University or Council Examinations.
The scholarship holders must attend atleast 80% of the
lectures delivered in each subject for the renewal of their
scholarships.

Major students will have to be closely associated with the
respective academic organizations available in the college.
.3.(ii)
Change in combination/major/faculty can be made with proper
permission from the Principal within 30 (thirty) days of
admission to the concerned class.

College transfer certificate:
If a student wants to leave the college, an application to
the Principal for issue of transfer certificate is to be
submitted with clearance from the following:
(i) College office.
(ii) College library.
(iii) Head of the department
concerned in case of science students.
(iv) N.C.C. officer in case of
N.C.C. cadets.
(v) Superintendents of the
hostel concerned in case of hostel boarders.

Hostel Rules :
The boarders of the hostels must abide by the rules and
regulations set up for the management of the hostels.
Violation of these rules and regulations shall be
treated as a cause for stringent punitive action which
may include expulsion from the hostels as well as from the
college. Boarders are allowed to meet their visitors only on
designated days and at a designated time.

Maintenance of Discipline :
Every
student will have to behave properly and maintain discipline
inside and outside the college to uphold the prestige of the
institution. No student is allowed to take the law into
his/her own hand. The properties of the college must be
preserved and protected by every student. The students of
Goalpara College irrespective of caste, religion and
language are expected to behave in such a way as if they are
the members of a single family. Ragging in any form is a
punishable offence. Moreover, students are to note the
following seriously -
(i)
Use of tobacco & tobacco products including any form of
Gutkha is strictly prohibited within the college campus and
anybody found violating the above shall be severely
punished.
(ii) Uses of Cell Phones within the college building,
class rooms & examination halls are strictly prohibited, the
violation of which shall attract severe disciplinary action.
(iii) Any grievance or dispute
are
settled by Grievance Redressal Cell of the college through
established procedure.

Library rule:
The library is managed by a set of
library rules constituted for the purpose.

Rules for Book Bank:
The book bank of the college shall be managed by a set of
rules laid down for this purpose.
